About this file
This file is Attachment 5: Supplementary General Conditions for the Trinity Cooling Tower and Chiller Replacement contract opportunity in Texas. The attachment outlines two key supplementary requirements that contractors must satisfy. First, contractors are required to obtain and maintain umbrella liability insurance during the contract term in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total awarded contract value, including any selected alternate pricing amounts. The umbrella policy must provide coverage that is at least as broad as the primary liability coverages, applies in excess of and follows form of those primary coverages, and includes "drop down" coverage provisions where underlying primary insurance coverage limits are insufficient or exhausted.
The second supplementary condition establishes liquidated damages at $840.00 per calendar day, establishing the financial penalty framework for contract performance delays or failures. These supplementary general conditions represent mandatory contractual obligations that prospective bidders must acknowledge and agree to comply with as part of their proposal submission for this project.
