About this file
This document is a state procurement specification from the CPA (Centralized Purchasing Authority) of Texas for a Trailer, Equipment, Sliding Triple Axle, dated February 2024. The specification describes a heavy-duty equipment transport trailer designed to legally and structurally transport highway maintenance and construction equipment such as pneumatic tired loaders, steel wheel rollers, and motor-graders. The trailer must have a net carrying capacity of 100,000 pounds, be capable of traveling up to 65 mph, and meet extensive technical requirements including a four-beam frame design, hydraulic sliding axle system, LED lighting, air suspension, and specific dimensional and performance specifications.
The specification includes optional equipment provisions, such as a composite flooring option made of recycled rubber tires and plastic, and a hydraulically operated winch with a 20,000-pound single-line pull capacity. The trailer comes with a minimum 12-month warranty covering 100% parts and labor, with the expectation that an authorized dealer will be located within Texas and maintain parts inventory. Delivery requirements stipulate that units must be delivered within the bid-specified timeframe, with payment to be made within 30 days after acceptance inspection confirms the trailer meets all specified requirements.
