About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Travis County Healthcare District d/b/a Central Health for basic life & AD&D, voluntary life & AD&D, employer paid short-term disability, voluntary short-term disability, and employer paid long-term disability insurance coverage. The RFP seeks qualified vendors to provide these benefits to approximately 1,900 Central Health employees, with a proposal due date of November 14, 2024 and an initial contract term of two years with four one-year renewal options. The Addendum provides FAQs, including confirmation that there are incumbent vendors (UHC for life benefits and MetLife for disability benefits) and that Central Health practices a Good Faith Effort for MBE/WBE requirements.
The RFP does not provide a budget for the solution, instead requesting that proposers provide their proposed pricing. It also states that Central Health does not disclose budgets in advance. The RFP does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and does not provide details on existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration.
