About this file
This document is a Scope of Work for the Turnkey Replacement of a 250-ton Chiller in Building 121 (Brazos Hall) at the University of Houston Sugar Land campus. The scope includes the demolition and removal of the existing chiller, followed by the installation, commissioning, and startup of a new chiller. The project also includes a 5-year full maintenance agreement. The University is seeking proposals for this work through RFP730-24084 Turnkey Replacement of Air-Cooled Chiller rebid, with a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit scheduled for September 4, 2024.
The document outlines two options for the chiller replacement: a like-kind replacement or the largest air-cooled chiller that can fit the existing pad and electrical service. The University is located in Fort Bend County, Texas, and the project does not require the payment of sales tax. Contractors must have HVAC and electrical expertise to complete the turnkey project.
