NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

RE: AK TTP CHIC 2013(1)

Dene’ Tene’ Pedestrian Path Solicitation No. DTFH70-16-B-00028

The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After October 1st, access will be weather dependent; contact the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for current road conditions at (907) 465-8952 or dot.511@alaska.gov. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

Two Bid Schedules - The work will be solicited under two alternate schedules, with different amounts of work in each schedule. One schedule will be awarded. See the Description of Work document for additional details.

• Schedule A consists of: Grading, base, paving and erection of a 16-foot span, 125-foot long steel truss pedestrian bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck on Geosynthetic- Reinforced Soil Abutments from Station 20+00 to Station 24+84.

• Schedule B consists of: All work included under Schedule A, plus additional pathway construction between Station 24+84 and 30+92.

Project Location and Type of Work - This project is located approximately 14 miles northeast of Palmer, Alaska. All project work is located in Matanuska Susitna Borough, Alaska.

• The work consists of grading, base, paving and erection of a 16-foot span, 125-foot long steel truss pedestrian bridge with cast-in-place concrete deck on Geosynthetic-Reinforced Soil Abutments.
