The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After October 30, 2015, access will be weather dependent; contact the Aric Baldwin at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park for current road conditions at (907) 983-9262, email aric_baldwin@nps.gov. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

The work will be solicited under one bid schedule and one schedule will be awarded. See the Description of Work document for additional details.

Preliminary Plans letter

The upcoming contract will require select borrow, riprap, and aggregate to be secured from commercial sources. These commercial sources must pass a weed inspection. NOTE:

Contractors will not be allowed to use sources within the Park boundaries, including “in-holder” lands. To determine if a source is acceptable, contractors must arrange for a weed inspection this Fall.

Solicitation documents - Documents will be available during December, 2015. Please monitor the FedBizOpps (FBO) site for actual date of solicitation release (www.fbo.gov). To receive automatic notification through FBO, select the “Watch this opportunity” feature and follow the steps as indicated.

Thank you for your interest in this project.
