The following contract clause or clauses pertinent to this section are hereby incorporated by reference:
F.3 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
F.3.1 Contract Period(s) of Performance
The base period of performance for this contract is four (4) years and covers [fill in at award] through [fill in at award]. The Government, at its discretion, may extend the contract’s period of performance by the optional periods defined in Table F.3-1 Base and Option Periods. Should the Government decide to extend the period of performance, a contract modification will be issued by the Contracting Officer with specific details regarding the option exercised and overall impact to contract duration. F.3.2 CLIN Period(s) of Performance
The Periods of Performance (POPs) for each CLIN are unique and separate from the contract periods of performance shown above. The exercise of a contract option period does not constitute award of an Optional CLIN whose stated period of performance coincides or falls within the contract option period being exercised. Optional CLINs may be awarded anytime during the contract period of performance, and will maintain an independent period of performance that will not exceed the contract period of performance. CLIN periods of performance are identified in Table F.3-2.

F.4 KEY MILESTONES
F.4.1 Key Milestones and Deliverables
This section will be used to identify all key contract milestones, and deliverables for this contract. Key Milestones for this contract are identified in the table below. Additional Milestones may be added as specific effort is definitized and awarded to the contract.
Definitions for all Key Milestone Terms, e.g., “Ready for Operations”, are provided in Section H. All dates in this contract are based on calendar days unless explicitly expressed in business days.
The Contractor must meet the following key milestones:

F.4.2 Typical Release Timeline and Relevant Information
An example of a TFMS typical release timeline is provided in Figure F-1. This timeline is included as a notional timeline anticipated for developing and deploying new releases under CLIN 11. This information is relevant to estimating work for future enhancements.
Figure F-1 Typical TFMS Release Timeline1
Notes
1. Figure not to scale and time estimates are approximate.
2. System-level design and SDR conduct performed under engineering Task Orders.
3. William J. Hughes Technical Center Site Acceptance Test (WSAT) timeframe assumes Contractor successfully completed Software Qualification Testing (SQT) and WSAT procedure dry-runs prior to TRR.
4. Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) timeframe assumes 2-3 sessions with different users with at least 11 calendar days between end of a session and start of the next to allow time for PTR resolution.
5. Key Site Acceptance Test (KSAT) preparation and checkout about 30 days -- includes System Support Modification (SSM) coordination and implementation by Technical Operations. KSAT conduct and problem resolution about 30 days.
6. After KSAT complete, the Program Office coordinates the release SSM with Technical Operations for review, approval and implementation.
7. Spring release deployed no later than end of April – Fall no later than end of October. Major system changes avoided during the severe weather season (May through mid-Sept.) and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday moratoriums. Deployment of major releases is restricted to early Saturday morning with Sunday as alternate if necessary.
8. Updates of DRC and test labs typically not allowed to start until 1-2 weeks after deployment.
9. Post deployment patch usually only if necessary to correct critical problems.
10. Typical CPIF release CLIN POP for detailed design, development, test and deployment is about 24 months starting about 30 days after SDR (once CPIF CLIN negotiation complete or a temporary advance agreement allows start before contract mod complete).
F.5 DELIVERABLES
The CDRL requirements and delivery due dates are identified in Section J-5.
