About this file
This document is a comprehensive design and engineering drawing package for the Fixed-Cone Valve Replacement project at Bradbury Dam, operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The package includes location and vicinity maps, general plans, outlet works control house details, structural sections, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications spanning 32 pages of technical drawings and related documentation.
The project involves replacement of fixed-cone valves at the Bradbury Dam outlet works facility. Key components include demolition and installation of valve equipment, reducer supports, sole plates, and valve supports within the existing outlet works structure. The drawings specify concrete embedment details, anchor bolt requirements (3/4-10 x 2.5 inch UNC-2A bolts with non-shrink grout), and steel reinforcement details including 2 x 12 bar configurations. Electrical installation plans detail wiring diagrams for the outlet works house and dam tenders' facilities, including control panels, lighting fixtures, and equipment connections rated for 120/240V and 480V service. The design includes specifications for equipment removal and installation, accessibility requirements for maintenance, and detailed sections showing valve vault configurations, control house floor plans, and spillway structures. Reference drawings are cross-referenced throughout (drawing numbers 368-208-60008 through 368-D-1165), and the document is marked "FOR INFORMATION ONLY," indicating this is a baseline or reference design package rather than an active solicitation document.
