Ohmsett facility utilization by external customers remains contingent upon oil spill response research objectives and training requirements, or wave energy capture research, from industry, universities, and commercial entities with further influence from public perception of threats from oil spill events since 2010 and focus on alternative energy technology development.
Utilization through the third quarter of FY2022 is from completion of large-scale construction projects to repair and modernize the tow tank with bridge system and four testing and evaluation events.
