About this file
This is a Department of Defense (DoD) Video Teleconferencing (VTC) System Component List specifying hardware and equipment requirements for a secure conferencing facility.
All selected components must be new, listed on the DoDIN Approved Products List (APL), and comply with secure facility standards prohibiting unauthorized wireless, Bluetooth, or local storage capabilities. Cross-domain and switching hardware must be NIAP or JITC-approved. The system comprises five functional categories: (1) Displays & Signage—two commercial-grade video displays with disabled wireless/Bluetooth features and two LED classification signs for doorway and above displays; (2) A/V Routing & Processing—one NIAP-approved KVM Switch supporting NIPR, SIPR, and AFSCI inputs, one video switcher capable of independent or simultaneous routing to two displays, and one audio digital signal processor to integrate new microphones with existing speakers; (3) Conferencing & Capture—one JITC-approved VTC codec supporting NIPR, SIPR, AFSCI, and unclassified phone conferencing, PTZ or multi-camera system capturing wide room angles and focused head-of-table views, and multi-directional microphone arrays; (4) Control System—one touch screen control panel (no wireless/Bluetooth) at the table head and one A/V control processor (with Gold Level Crestron Programmer if Crestron is selected); and (5) Infrastructure & Installation Materials—all necessary internal A/V cabling (HDMI, DisplayPort, shielded Cat6) and mounting hardware for displays, cameras, and LED signage. The government will provide power and network drops; contractors need only supply connecting patch cables.

DO VTC System Component List
Key Takeaway: All selected components must be new, listed on the DoDIN Approved Products List (APL), and strictly adhere to secure facility standards (no.unauthorized.
wireless―Bluetooth.capabilities.or.local.storage). Any cross-domain or switching hardware must be NIAP or JITC-approved.
Displays & Signage
• Front Wall Displays: 2x Commercial-grade Video Displays (Must have physical or firmware-disabled wireless/Bluetooth features).
• Classification LED Signage: 2x LED Classification Signs (One to be installed above the doorway, and one centered above the front displays).
A/V Routing & Processing
• Secure KVM Switch: 1x NIAP-approved KVM Switch (Must support at least 3 inputs for NIPR, SIPR, and AFSCI operator PCs).
• A/V Matrix Switcher: 1x Video Switcher (Must be capable of routing any single input to any of the two displays independently, or simultaneously without mirroring).
• Audio Processor (DSP): 1x Audio Digital Signal Processor (To integrate new microphones with the existing in-room speaker system).
Conferencing & Capture
• Video Codec / Conferencing System: 1x JITC-approved VTC Codec (Must support NIPR, SIPR, AFSCI video, and unclassified phone conferencing).
• Camera System: PTZ Camera(s) or multi-camera setup (Must be capable of capturing both a wide angle of the entire room and a focused view on the head of the conference table).
• Microphone Array: Multi-directional table or ceiling microphones (Quantity sufficient to capture audio across the entire conference space).
Control System
• Control Panel: 1x Touch Screen Control Panel (To be located at the head of the table.
Must have no wireless/Bluetooth capabilities).
• Control Processor: 1x A/V Control System Processor (If Crestron is selected, programming must be executed by a Gold Level Crestron Programmer).
Infrastructure & Installation Materials
• Wiring & Cabling: All necessary internal A/V cabling (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort, shielded Cat6) to connect the systems.
• Mounting Hardware: Wall mounts for the two front displays, mounts for the cameras, and brackets for the LED signage.
(Note: The government will provide the necessary power and network drops, so those do not need to be included in your hardware procurement list, only the connecting patch cables.)
