Industry Day Purpose

Open up a meaningful dialog with industry to assist us in determining a best value solution to upgrade our Boeing 737‐400 avionics suite.

JPATS Operation What we do…

• JPATS transports prisoners in support of Federal judicial process for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and the United States Marshals Service (USMS).

• JPATS aircraft are engaged in PUBLIC AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS (PAO) and are not restricted by FAA civil aircraft regulation REF: Title 49 of the United States Code (49 U.S.C.) §§ 40102 (a)(41) and 40125 (the statute) or FAA's Advisory Circular on Public Aircraft

Modification Timeline

• December 4th begin work on site.

• Aircraft returned to service NLT Jan 8th

GOALS ‐ OUTCOMES

• Gather industry input prior to solicitation.

‐ is scope of work effort feasible?

• Finalize Statement of Work.

• Identify any long lead items.

• Standardize fleet avionics & component interchangeability

• Ensure all work effort is complete within time frame.

Rules of Engagement

• No photocopies of any technical data

• Photos inside aircraft are encouraged

– NO PHOTOS OUTSIDE AIRCRAFT

– NO PHOTOS OUTSIDE OF HANGAR (OPSEC)

• Collaboration is encouraged…ALL WORK DONE AT ONE SHOT…open up aircraft once.

This revision adds minor clarifications and new guidance material based on issues and questions since revision ‘C’ was published. There are several new changes such as: equipment capability versus installed limitations;

clarifying database configuration versus equipment capability; adding step‐ down fixes to navigation databases; a new appendix for demonstrating radius to fix (RF) leg capability; and, including required navigation performance (RNP) prediction guidance for RNP authorization required approach (RNP AR APCH).
