Vendor Question
DOJ Response
1 Does the recently provided data for total and monthly average copies provided in t Attachment (6) for Copy Center copiers include copies for blowback print requests?
The stats provided include both copy clicks and blowback clicks.
2 Are all blowback print requests processed through the PHB Copy Center?
If not, what portion of the FY15 1,447,620 pages reported (from Q&A) is printed at each Copy Center?
The majority of the blowback requests are processed through the PHB copy center, but a lessor amount is also processed through the copy centers in MAIN and Denver. Statistics by copy center are not available.
3 Is the Contractor required to supply the lamination equipment and lamination supplies for the PHB Copy Center? If Contractor supplied equipment, what is the maximum width required for lamination? If Contractor is responsible for supplies, how many linear feet are processed on average during a fiscal year?
Laminating equipment and supplies are supplied by the Government.
4 Are convenience copiers required to have fax capability? On all copiers?
On only some? If some, which copiers?
None of the copiers needs to have fax capability.
5 Are Copy Center copiers required to have fax capability? On all copiers?
On only some? If some, which copiers?
See answer to Question #4.
6 The recently received Attachment (6) omits copier data for Seattle, WA.
Will the Contractor be responsible for providing a copier for Seattle? If the Contractor is responsible, can the Government confirm the current copier model, average monthly black/white copies, and average monthly color copies?
We have not provided a copier for Seattle previously so no statistics are available. The number of users at the new Seattle location will be similar to the San Francisco Field Office.
7 Is the Contractor required to supply tape binding supplies? If so, what is the average number of documents tape bound at each Copy Center each fiscal year?
The contractor must provide the supplies for all the equipment they install on the contract. See Section C.7.2.1 (3.A) of the solicitation for information on the volume of tape binding.
The RFP requires the Contractor to provide “equipment necessary to perform velo binding”, but the Q&A only states that tape binding will be provided by the Contractor. Is the Contractor responsible for providing velo binding capability? If so, is the Contractor required to supply velo binding supplies? If so, what is the average number of documents velo bound at each Copy Center each fiscal year?
The PHB copy center includes a Velo Binding machine supplied by the Government, but it is almost never used. Any supplies will be provided by the Government

Can the Government confirm the Contractor is required to provide a computer to connect to the Government supplied HP DesignJet at the PHB Copy Center? What software does the Government currently use?
Will this software be available to the Contractor?
The Government supplied HP DesignJet has its own PC and software which will be provided to the new contractor.
10 Is there an offline folder provided by the Government for Contractor use. If so, can the Government supply the folder equipment model? How many ad hoc folded brochure requests are typically produced during a fiscal year? What is the average number of copies requested of each brochure?
There is a small Government furnished offline folding machine that is used as a backup for the folding capability of the Contractor supplied copiers. The folding machine is a Duplo DF-920. No folding stats are available.
