About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 to the bidding documents for the Schenectady City Hall Clock Tower Restoration project, issued by the City of Schenectady Department of Engineering. The addendum, dated July 23, 2024, provides clarifications for potential bidders and sets the sealed bid acceptance date as July 31, 2024. The document addresses key questions regarding scaffolding requirements, site access, material storage, and parking for contractors during the restoration project.

The addendum indicates that access to the building will be coordinated with the City, with minimal material storage recommended on the roof due to scaffolding weight. Contractors should be aware of the weekly Farmer's Market on Thursdays on Jay and Franklin Streets, which will require avoiding those areas. The City will help coordinate parking adjacent to the building for easy contractor access, and equipment parking locations will be predetermined prior to bringing equipment to the site. The project involves restoration work on the historic clock tower, with specific details to be found in drawing G001 for scaffolding requirements.
