About this file
This document is a Brand Guidelines document for Campbell County, Virginia, prepared for use across county government departments and public communications. The guidelines establish a unified brand identity for the county government to create cohesive messaging and visual recognition among residents, visitors, and businesses. The brand centers on the tagline "Tradition Meets Tomorrow," reflecting the county's approach of honoring its historical roots while embracing progress and future development. The guidelines provide comprehensive direction on brand messaging, visual identity standards, departmental variations, logo usage specifications, color palettes, typography standards, and photography style to ensure consistency across all county communications and materials.
The document specifies detailed technical requirements for brand implementation, including primary and secondary logo configurations with minimum sizing standards (ranging from 60 pixels to 140 pixels), clear space requirements, and approved color specifications using CMYK, RGB, and HEX values for both primary colors (dark blue and teal) and accent colors. Typography standards designate Larken Bold and Figtree fonts for primary use, with specified alternatives for Microsoft 365 applications. The guidelines establish departmental sub-branding options for divisions such as Public Works, Public Library System, and Parks & Recreation, while emphasizing that the main county logo should be used in most situations. Photography guidelines require crisp, colorful imagery featuring people in business, community living, and location contexts that convey Campbell County as welcoming, approachable, and community-oriented. Contact information for implementation questions is provided through Sherry Harding, Director of Public Information and Employee Relations.
