About this file

This document is a Builder's Risk Insurance Acknowledgment form from the Santa Rosa County Housing Department, requiring contractors to obtain and maintain specific insurance coverage for construction projects. The form outlines six key requirements for the Builder's Risk Insurance policy, including full coverage for the duration of construction, policy amount matching the total contract value, naming Santa Rosa County as additional insureds and loss payees, providing a Certificate of Insurance before work commences, being responsible for deductibles and claims, and maintaining coverage until the county issues final project acceptance.

The insurance policy must cover all work, materials, equipment, and supplies whether on-site, off-site, or in transit, with insurance proceeds payable jointly to the contractor and Santa Rosa County. The policy cannot be canceled, reduced, or allowed to lapse without providing thirty (30) days' prior written notice to the county. By signing the document, the contractor certifies understanding and agreement to comply with all insurance and bonding requirements specified in Article VII of the contract with Santa Rosa County.
