About this file
This memorandum requests approval to use the brand names Natina and Permeon under several sections of an Idaho state highway project specification related to applying weathering agents to galvanized steel, rock, and concrete surfaces. The specification sections include bridge railing, painting, minor concrete structures, guardrail, and miscellaneous materials. Natina Steel, Natina Rock, Natina Concrete and Permeon have been successfully used on past Federal Highway Administration projects to meet similar coating and coloring requirements. The memorandum identifies the product manufacturers, relevant contact information, and locations of previous project references. Approval is granted by the contracting officer to use the brand names as specified in the project.
