About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to solicitation number 69056720B000017 for the Idaho Teton Centennial Trail and Wyoming Teton Pass Centennial Trail project being carried out by the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. The project involves construction work along existing sections of the Old Jackson road and existing trail sections. Questions address issues such as how to obtain bid documents, who to direct technical and general questions to, whether excavation may encounter rock, clarification regarding culvert extensions versus new construction, diverting water flow around an existing structure during bridge work at Moose Creek, whether in-water work is allowed, availability of flow records for Moose Creek, use of existing asphalt in embankment fill, and how to obtain the registered vendors list. Responses provide guidance on contract requirements and indicate that forthcoming amendments would address requests for CAD files and design/existing surfaces data.

# General Technical Question Answer Date
1 X
Been watching this job and saw drawing earlier this month but now I can't fine them anymore.
The Link doesn't work or something. I also see that you moved the bid date up to this next month. Can you tell me how to get the bid documents?
The preliminary documents for this project were posted at:
https://beta.sam.gov/opp/9db3d5f8b9ef44 a39ebb150f5fd41ab3/view.
Submit bids according to the solicitation and bid documents at the following link (that differs):

4 X
Please clarify that the following culverts under existing hwy 33/22 are extensions and not complete new construction:
a.) 250+58 (drawing D.23) – Plans say install 24” pipe culvert and Riprap outlet protection. This looks to be outside of the construction limits of the HWY 33 cut; and b.) 252+63 (drawing D.23) – Plans say install 24” pipe culvert and Riprap outlet protection. This looks to be outside of the construction limits of the HWY 33 cut.
We have received your question and will be providing an appropriate response.

5 X
Moose Creek, can the water be diverted around the existing structure? If so, likely piping would need to be placed outside of the current clearing limits, would this be acceptable?
We have received your question and will be providing an appropriate response.

6 X Is in water work allowed while working on the Moose Creek bridge?
See Section H and comply with Subsection 107.01.
11/3/2020
7 X Are there flow records for Moose Creek?
We have received your question and will be providing an appropriate response.

8 X
Due to small amount of existing asphalt on current sections of Old Jackson road, as well as on existing trail sections, can this be used in the embankment fill?
No. Comply with the requirements of Subsection 203.05.
