About this file
This is Addendum #3 to Bid 6575, issued by the Town of Trumbull, Connecticut on June 17, 2026, modifying requirements for municipal solid waste and recycling services at Town and Board of Education facilities. The original bid solicitation, open from May 21 through June 11, 2026, requested comprehensive waste collection services at seven Town locations on twice-weekly schedules and thirteen BOE school buildings on varying frequencies. Addendum #3 clarifies key operational requirements while superseding previous language regarding tipping fee exemptions. The contract term runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, with an optional two-year renewal period available at mutually agreed pricing.
Addendum #3 makes three substantive changes to the original bid specifications. First, it removes the requirement that recyclable materials be delivered exclusively to Interstate Waste Services in Shelton, Connecticut, allowing contractors to utilize any properly licensed recycling facility provided materials comply with applicable regulations. Second, it designates P Win Waste Innovations at 6 Howard Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut as the sole disposal facility for all municipal solid waste, with loads to be identified and recorded as Town of Trumbull material. Third, the addendum clarifies that the pricing structure establishes fixed costs per location rather than tonnage-based fees, with all pickup, transportation, and disposal costs fully included in bids and no separate tipping fee arrangements permitted. This addendum supersedes previous language that exempted the contractor from tipping fees at the Town Transfer Station, establishing that all disposal costs must be incorporated into the bidder's fixed pricing proposal.
