About this file
This document is a set of clarifying questions and responses related to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #2024-97 for the Canby-Marquam Highway Paving Project in Clackamas County, Oregon. The project involves asphalt paving and milling on approximately 5.2 miles of State Highway 170, and must be completed within 120 calendar days of the notice to proceed. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on March 15, 2024, and the contract is expected to be awarded on April 15, 2024. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on February 28, 2024. Bidders will be required to provide unit pricing for the estimated quantities of asphalt, milling, and other pay items, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The clarifying questions address details regarding the existing pavement markings and the scope of the "Clearing and Grubbing" bid item. The responses indicate that bidders should plan to pave over the existing striping without additional removal work, and that the "Clearing and Grubbing" is anticipated to include work around the guardrails. The ITB does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent contractor is identified. The total award value or budget range is also not provided in the available information.
