About this file

This is a seed mix specification list for landscaping at Vandenberg Air Force Base, specifically for non-irrigated areas including roadsides, bioswales, and demolition sites. The document details three categories of required seeds that must originate from the California Central Coast, preferably Santa Barbara County: 1) A basic sterile annual mix using either Triticale QUICKGUARD or Wheat X Wheatgrass ReGreen at 12-15 PLS lbs/acre, 2) A selection of three annuals from options including lupine, white layia, California plantain, Tomcat clover and Pacific fescue at 4 PLS lbs/acre, and 3) A selection of three perennials from options including California broom, salt grass, blue wildrye, squirreltail, small fescue, California barley, and vervain at 4 PLS lbs/acre.

The document is dated December 2016 and requires approval from 30CES/CEIEA for any substitutions to the specified seed mix. This specification appears to be referenced as part of solicitation FA461025Q0011 for demolition services of Buildings 533 and 541 at Vandenberg Space Force Base, likely providing restoration requirements for the demolition sites.
