From this station, all sewage produced in the Marin Headlands is pumped via forced main out of the Marin Headlands to Fort Baker, and from there to the Sausalito Sewer District. The station pumps around 60,000 gallons of sewage a day during dry weather and 150,000 gallons during rain events. The station is powered by three-phase power supplied by PG&E and is backed up by a NPS-owned stationary diesel generator. In August, 2025 it was discovered that the ATS was not functioning properly.
