The project consists of a Base Bid Schedule covering three roads totaling approximately 27.35 miles, plus seven Additive Items covering an additional approximately 30.85 miles. The base work includes Newfound Gap Road (15 miles), Laurel Creek Road (7.7 miles), and Gatlinburg Bypass Road (4.65 miles). Additive items include Catalooche Entrance Road (4.54 miles), Elkmont Road (1.41 miles), Tremont Road (2.16 miles), Foothills Parkway Sections G&H (17 miles), Townsend Entrance Road (0.74 miles), and Wear Cove Gap (1.3 miles). Contractors must submit unit prices for linear foot measurements of yellow and white pavement markings, as well as per-each pricing for miscellaneous arrows, crosswalks, stop bars, neutral area/gore striping, and accessible parking stalls. All striping shall be restriped in accordance with existing markings or as directed by the Contracting Officer. Quantities provided are estimated for bid canvassing purposes only; payment will be made exclusively for actual quantities of work completed and accepted. The Government may award a contract for the Base Bid Schedule alone, the Base Bid Schedule with any combination of additive items, or any other combination thereof, with all work performed under a single contract. Contractors are encouraged to conduct site visits to understand specific striping requirements, neutral area dimensions, road locations, and roadway conditions before submitting proposals.

Quantities in project schedule are estimated and will be used to canvass bids, but payment will be made only for actual quantities of Work completed and accepted.
Contractors are encouraged to visit each road in the project schedule to fully understand striping requirements, size of neutral areas, location of each road, and roadway conditions.
