DURING CONSTRUCTION AFTER CONSTRUCTION
CLASS I 1. Contractors will report to Administration Building 100 for Screening
2. Contact Milieu Charge using cell number provided on door if Screening station is unattended to report screening need and contact with Facilities POC
3. Must wear Desert Visions approved face mask while on facility
4. Minimize raising of dust when performing work
5. Immediately replace any ceiling tile displaced for visual inspection
1. Minor demolition for remodeling
CLASS II
1. Provide active means to prevent airborne dust
2. Water mist work surfaces to control dust while cutting
3. Seal head, jambs, and sills of unused doors with duct tape while performing work
4. Block off and seal air vents with plastic sheet or similar impervious material
5. Remove or isolate HVAC systems in areas where work is being performed
6. Use dust mats at all work area entrances and exits. Replace dust mats when they are no longer tacky
7. Wipe surfaces with cleaner/disinfectant
1. Wipe down work surfaces with disinfectant approved by Owner’s representative
2. Tightly cover all containers of construction waste before Transporting
3. Wet mop and/or vacuum with HEPA‐filtered vacuum prior to leaving area
4. Use hospital approved disinfectant
5. Restore HVAC when work completed
CLASS III
1. Isolate HVAC system in areas of work to prevent contamination of ductwork system
2. Install all critical barriers, including dust‐proof partitions, air vent seals, and similar items before beginning work.
3. Maintain negative air pressure within area of work by using HEPA equipped air filtration units
4. Tightly cover all containers of construction waste before transporting
5. Cover transport or receptacle carts with tarpaulins, plastic sheets, or similar material, tape coverings tightly in place
1. Do not remove barriers from area of work until the entire area of work has been thoroughly cleaned by Owner’s Environmental Services Department
2. Vacuum area of work with HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner
3. Wet mop area of work with disinfectant approved by Owner’s representative
4. Remove critical barriers carefully to minimize spread of construction dirt and debris
CLASS IV
1. Isolate HVAC system in areas of work to prevent contamination of ductwork system
2. Install all critical barriers, including dust‐proof partitions, air vent seals, and similar items before beginning work.
3. Maintain negative air pressure within area of work by using HEPA equipped air filtration units
4. Seal holes, pipes, conduits, and punctures appropriately
5. Provide anteroom and require all personnel to pass through it when leaving area of work. All personnel shall thoroughly clean themselves using HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner before leaving anteroom. As an alternate to providing an anteroom, provide cloth or paper coveralls for all construction personnel. Coveralls must be removed before leaving the area of work
6. All personnel entering the area of work are required to wear Contractor‐ furnished shoe covers. Shoe covers must be changed each time wearer exits area of work
7. Tightly cover all containers of construction waste before transporting
8. Cover transport or receptacle carts with tarpaulins, plastic sheets, or similar material, tape coverings tightly in place
1. Do not remove barriers from area of work until the entire area of work has been thoroughly cleaned by Owner’s Environmental Services Department

Sound and Vibration Mitigation Procedures:
All patients and staff shall be removed from the immediate area(s) of work being performed and if possible, from the adjacent areas.
All construction barriers shall contain sound batt insulation from floor to the bottom of the deck and all joints shall be tightly
Activities that have considerable noise or vibration potential such demolition, cutting, repeated hammering, or the use of large power tools shall be scheduled for facility off‐peak hours to minimize disruptions to the facility at peak times.
All openings through the construction barriers such as required for pipes, ducts, conduit, etc. shall be temporarily sealed until the opening can be closed up and sealed with all new work.
Ear protection shall be made available for all personnel in adjacent areas.
