About this file
The document is a Bid Bond for a contract with the City of St. Petersburg, Florida, related to the Cosme Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Lime Softening Byproduct Excavation and Removal project. The project involves excavating and removing up to 9,999 cubic yards of dry sludge from a pond, with an estimated daily removal rate of 400-500 cubic yards. The work includes providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, manpower, hauling, and disposal services. The City of St. Petersburg will be responsible for the excavation permit, while the contractor will handle all other permits, including hauling permits.
The Bid Bond requires a 5% bid security, which will be forfeited if the winning bidder fails to enter into a contract within 10 consecutive calendar days of award notification. The bond serves as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract and provide a 100% performance bond if awarded the project. No specific pricing details, funding sources, or contract term lengths are explicitly stated in the provided documentation. The bond is a standard procedural document ensuring the bidder's commitment to the project and protecting the City of St. Petersburg's interests in the bidding process.
