About this file

This is a Requirements Matrix for CATM Range Lead Cleaning and Servicing that identifies mandatory sampling and hazardous waste disposal requirements for contractor performance.

The matrix specifies four distinct scopes of work with corresponding sampling, engineering control, and disposal requirements. SOW Section 2 (Filter Cleaning/Replacement) requires no hazardous material work or sampling, with non-hazardous waste disposal per 18WG 01 57 19.18 30. SOW Section 3 (Range Exhaust Filter Replacement) requires the Certified Industrial Hygienist/Qualified Person (CIH/QP) to collect four wipe samples total—one before and one after work at each of two filter box doorway locations—with hazardous waste disposal per Section 02 83 18.00 30. SOW Section 4 (Bullet/Debris Bucket Cleaning) requires eight samples during bucket emptying (two samples each from four buckets spaced 6-8 buckets apart) plus three additional wipe samples from the asphalt work area after completion; bullet debris must be returned to the Government in GFM drums per Section 02 83 18.00 30. SOW Section 5 (Range Floor and Firing Position Cleaning) requires ten total wipe samples—three before and three after cleaning from the firing position slab, and two before and two after from the range pad—with all laboratory analysis results submitted to the Government; hazardous waste disposal follows Section 02 83 18.00 30, and all liquids must be disposed of at a GOJ-permitted facility regardless of TCLP characterization. All scopes note that the Contractor's Competent Person shall determine engineering control levels required for 29 CFR 1926.62 compliance based on actual site conditions.

SOW SECTION3.
RANGEEXHAUSTFILTER

REPLACEMENT

Note 1 The CIH/QP shall take one (1) wipe sample on the concrete pad in front of each filter box doorway (2 loca.ons) before work, and one (1) sample at each loca.on aVer the work. (4 total)

Dispose of Hazardous Waste per Sec.on 02 83 18.00 30.

Dispose of non-hazardous waste per

18WG 01 57 19.18 30.

SOWSECTION4:
BULLET/DEBRISBUCKET

CLEANING

Note 1

A) During bullet bucket emptying, the CP shall collect 2 samples (one from the top of each bucket and one from the boYom) for 4 buckets. (8 samples total) Sample from buckets spaced 6-8 buckets apart.

B) AVer the bullet bucket work and cleanup is completed, the CIH/QP shall take three (3) wipe samples from asphalt where bullet bucket emptying work was performed. See Figure 1 of AYachment 3 Drawings for sample loca.ons.

Contractor must return bullet debris in GFM drums to the Government as described in Sec.on 02 83 18.00 30.

For each subsequent service call for work described in Sec.on 5, the CIH/QP shall take three (3) wipe samples from the firing posi.on slab prior to cleaning, and three (3) samples from the same loca.ons aVer cleaning. For the range slab, take two (2) wipe samples from range pad prior to cleaning, and two (2) samples of the same loca.ons aVer cleaning. (5 prior to work and 5 aVer the work: 10 total). See AYachment 3, Figure 5 for sampling loca.ons. Submit all laboratory analysis results to the Government for review.
