Scope Identification This System Specification establishes the System-level technical performance, design, development, integration, verification and production requirements for the Conduct of Fire Trainer platform, herein known as the Bradley Conduct of Fire Trainer (COFT) trainer.

The Bradley COFT trainer replicates the performance of the M2/M3 Operation Desert Storm-Situational Awareness (ODS-SA) Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) and the M2/M3A3 BFV enabling the crew to operate a BFV entity in a synthetic environment.

It trains and sustains the Bradley Gunner and Commander in critical gunnery skills as required for direct fire engagements.

The Bradley COFT Trainer has three (3) configurations:

1.Institutional/classroom environment - unsheltered.
2.Mobile - Environmentally controlled mobile trailer.
3.Table Top Trainer - Portable, hard-sided transit cases

Each trainer configuration consists of a crewstation, an image generator, computational equipment, and an Instructor Operator Station, which make up the basic Training Device subsystem as shown below. Throughout this document the basic Training Device is referred to as the "trainer". The Mobile configuration has an additional subsystem called the Trailer.
