About this file

This is an Interface Requirements attachment for the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Client Management System replacement project. The document outlines the required system interfaces and data exchange dependencies that the proposed solution must support. The interfaces are designed to facilitate information sharing between the new Client Management System and various state and external systems, including corrections management platforms (JPAY/Securus, WSI, Keef), victim notification systems, the Attorney General's CJISS Portal and ND SAVIN system, the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC), financial systems (Client Fees, Job Service), healthcare systems (Medical Records/EHR, Dental/Dentrix), evaluation platforms (Recidiviz), and public-facing resident lookup systems.

The interface requirements specify both the data exchange methods and directionality for each connection. Most interfaces utilize batch file or flat file submissions for data transfer, while others require real-time or near real-time API connections. Notably, the Parole and Probation interface may not be required if the proposed solution includes integrated Parole and Probation functionality. Data elements exchanged include resident identification information, location data, supervisory information, parole conditions, offenses, fee records, intake and release data, and payroll information. The interfaces support both outbound data transmission to external systems and bi-directional data exchange, as exemplified by the Recidiviz interface.
