About this file
This attachment is a detailed equipment cleaning protocol for a Forest Service fuels reduction and forest health project. The document outlines specific requirements for cleaning equipment before and after entering Forest Service land, with a focus on preventing the spread of invasive weed species. Key provisions include: mandatory cleaning of all equipment (wheels, undercarriages, tools) prior to forest entry, using facilities that can properly dispose of rinse water; potential Forest Service equipment inspections; mandatory post-work washing in areas with identified invasive species; contractor certification of compliance; and a requirement to report any new invasive species infestations. The cleaning protocol is part of the Sierra Fuels Landscape solicitation (127EAV26R0004) by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service, which involves fuels reduction and modification work on approximately 85 acres in Poison Oak Canyon.

4) The Contractor should certify in writing compliance with the terms of this provision prior to each start-up of operations.
5) If any new infestation of invasive species are identified by the Contractor or Forest Service staff on the project site or access routes it shall be promptly reported to the other party.
