About this file

The document is a Davis-Bacon Act Employee Rights poster for laborers and mechanics employed on federal or federally assisted construction projects. The poster outlines key wage and employment protections, including requirements for prevailing wages, overtime pay, and enforcement mechanisms. Employees must be paid at least the wage rate specified in the Davis-Bacon Wage Decision and receive overtime at 1.5 times their basic rate for hours worked over 40 per week.

The poster details significant enforcement provisions, including potential contract payment withholdings, liquidated damages, contract termination, and debarment for up to three years for non-compliance. It provides contact information for Daniel P. Kinney, a Contract Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration, and the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division for reporting wage-related issues. The document is specifically associated with a VA construction project for new maintenance buildings at Leavenworth National Cemetery, with the solicitation number 36C78625B0043.
