About this file
This document is a technical specification section for motor vehicle lifts for the Leavenworth National Cemetery Maintenance Building project (VA Project 897CM3024). The specification details a four-post drive-on lift with specific technical requirements, including a 12.5-ton (25,000 lbs) lifting capacity, a lifting height of 69 1/4 inches, and a lifting/lowering speed of 30 inches per minute. The lift will be manufactured by Mohawk Lifts, LLC and feature a 208-230 VAC, 1-phase, 2.5 HP electric motor, steel tracks with diamond plate covering, and automatic wheel chocks.
Key technical specifications include a hydraulic system with a steel oil reservoir, a velocity fuse-equipped cylinder, and steel-reinforced hydraulic hoses. The lift must meet sustainability requirements, including using 25% biobased hydraulic fluid. Installation requirements mandate experienced mechanics, precise alignment, and a comprehensive inspection process. The specification also includes detailed requirements for the lift's frame, safety system, control system, signage, and paint, with moving sections to be painted OSHA safety yellow. The document provides comprehensive guidelines for the procurement, installation, and performance of the motor vehicle lift.
