About this file

This document is a Security Rules attachment for Osawatomie State Hospital in Kansas, establishing special security requirements for contractors and personnel accessing the facility during the Fire and Security Station HVAC Improvements project. The rules establish comprehensive facility access and security protocols, including normal working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with weekend work available by special permission from the Institution. All employees must be checked in and out daily. Questions regarding access and security requirements should be directed to Richard Zaroban, Project Manager, at 913-755-1211. The facility operates under a tobacco-free policy, and contractors must remove all tools, construction debris, and sheet metal scraps daily to prevent potential use as weapons.

The security rules prohibit intoxicating beverages, firearms, ammunition, weapons, and narcotics on facility grounds. Vehicles must be locked and keys removed when not in use, and all vehicles are subject to search while on Institution grounds. Contractors must maintain responsibility for securing storage areas and work spaces during non-working hours, including temporary closure of openings in ceilings, roofs, and exterior walls. Photography of Osawatomie State Hospital patients is strictly prohibited, and any photography of work or site conditions requires prior permission from appropriate personnel. Contractors are advised that the Institution will not be responsible for any tools, equipment, or materials, and any theft or loss of keys or equipment must be reported immediately to the Owner. Violation of any security rules will result in immediate removal from the facility with no reentry permitted.
