About this file
This Bid Item Schedule document supports a State of California contract opportunity for the SMF Pedestrian Walkway - Riparian Public Art Installation Project. The project requires the contractor to furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work to complete the pedestrian walkway and public art installation in accordance with project specifications and applicable regulatory permits. The work will be performed under strict compliance with specifications and regulations from agencies with jurisdiction. Item quantities listed in the schedule serve as approximations for bid comparison purposes only, with actual work quantities subject to variation at the discretion of the County.
The bid item schedule establishes the basis for pricing individual work elements and materials associated with the walkway and public art installation components. Contractors must reference this schedule when submitting their bids to ensure accurate pricing of all required line items. No set-asides, incumbent contractors, or specific contract renewal options are identified in the available documentation. Funding source, contract term, and additional financial requirements should be referenced in the associated solicitation documents and contract specifications.

No separate payment is made for incidental Contractor Work unless expressly authorized by a bid item or the applicable written Contract-change procedure.
Items furnished or performed by the County or others The Base Bid excludes artwork fabrication and delivery to the designated SMF receiving location; permanent ceiling suspension, supporting grid, wire-mesh panels and primary structural-support infrastructure; permanent-design engineering; County-furnished artwork and compatible artwork-specific hanging hardware; brass portal-column artwork, brass floor inlays and terrazzo; and other Work expressly assigned to the County or others in Section 4-1.03 and Attachment D.

Other exclusions remain as stated in Section 4-1.03(I), including dedicated site-security services, long-term maintenance or conservation after contractual custody/protection obligations end, and offsite transportation, storage, cataloging or return of surplus rondelles. Required Contractor work-zone safety, custody, correction, inspection access and temporary engineering remain included.
Quantity tuning and changes The approximate rondelle quantity is the disclosed lump-sum bidding basis. It does not establish a per-rondelle payment item or automatic entitlement to extra payment. Material changes in quantity or assigned scope shall be administered under the Contract-change provisions.
Included initial tuning, corrections, and later Artist-requested rearrangement shall be distinguished under Section 4-1.03(F). An Artist request does not authorize a change in Contract Price or Contract Time. Later changes to conforming reviewed areas shall be referred to the County before proceeding. No separate payment is made for Contractor installation errors or Contractor-caused damage.
Time and acceptance The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within thirty (30) Calendar Days as defined in Sections 7-1 and 7-15. NTP-2 issuance is Day 1; Day 30 is that date plus twenty-nine (29) Calendar Days. NTP-1 administrative work does not start that period. Subsequent punch-list correction, Field Acceptance and Final Acceptance remain governed by the Contract.
This Attachment creates no separate labor-day, equipment-day or tuning-day cap. Applicable work windows and access restrictions remain governed by the Special Provisions and County-issued bidding information.
