About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) Schedule attachment from the University of Utah for an Outdoor Digital Signage Network Partnership. The RFP seeks a qualified vendor to operate, maintain, and sell advertising for existing outdoor media signage assets and to fabricate, install, and maintain new outdoor media signage assets across the university campus. The project involves managing 4 existing large format signs and 16 small format signs (12 interactive kiosks and 4 parking garage signs), with plans to add 5-7 new large format signs and 15-30 new small format signs in strategic campus locations. Potential locations include Rice-Eccles Stadium, Foothill Drive, key intersections, and various campus buildings, with specific placement to be finalized post-award in collaboration with the university.
The RFP requires vendors to provide interactive digital signage with specific functionality standards, including ADA compliance, touchscreen technology, wayfinding capabilities, multilingual support, and the ability to display both advertising and university-directed non-commercial content. The signs must be weatherproof, graffiti-resistant, and capable of functioning in extreme temperatures. While the RFP does not specify exact financial terms, it emphasizes the vendor's responsibility for installation, maintenance, and advertising sales, with the university retaining oversight of non-commercial programming. The contract is structured as a long-term partnership, with the university reserving the right to review proposals and potentially not enter into an agreement.
