About this file
This document outlines certification requirements for Identiv's Velocity physical access control system. Identiv partners and end-users must complete Velocity certification training courses to be certified on the most current Velocity version (v3.8) or the previous version (v3.7) in order to receive technical support and access the partner portal. Certification is maintained by completing re-certification training when certified on versions older than v3.7. The certification courses cover Hirsch hardware, installation, operation and administration of the Velocity system. The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice from the Internal Revenue Service seeking proposals for a physical access control system to be awarded in 2023.

2023 VELOCITY CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
As a global leader in digitally securing the physical world, Identiv understands the importance of translating our expertise into a world class learning experience. The Identiv Academy prepares partners, operators, and end-users with the necessary knowledge and skill adaption to successfully interact with and deploy Identiv products and services.
Obtaining HIRSCH / Velocity certification is a requirement for Identiv partners installing Identiv products and services. Certification is also available for our end-users who require an advanced skill set.
Velocity certified individuals gain direct access to our Identiv Technical support team. In addition, certified partners are granted exclusive access to the Partner Portal for software upgrades and technical documentation.
Section 1: Velocity Certification Courses:
Partners and end-users obtain certification by successfully completing Velocity Certification training by registering via the Identiv Academy for one of the following:
● Identiv In-person Instructor-led Training (ILT)
• Santa Ana, CA or Arlington, VA
• 2023 schedule available from the Identiv Academy
● Self-Paced Online Certification Courses
• Velocity Certification Partner Bundle (5-courses)
• Velocity Certification End-User Bundle (4-courses)
Section 2: Velocity Certification Requirements:
Velocity certification is a continuous journey. Due to software releases and updates that occur, it's important for Identiv partners to keep their Velocity knowledge current. As a result, Velocity certifications are based on software versions, not calendar years.
Velocity Certification is current if one of the following conditions are met:
● An individual completed certification training for the most current major Velocity release (v3.8) or one previous major release (v3.7).
● An individual previously certified on v3.6 and renewed their certification by completing the online self-paced Velocity re-certification course available from the
Identiv Academy.
