About this file

This is a Memorandum from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Bliss Directorate of Public Works (DPW), establishing requirements for the delivery of final as-built drawings. The memorandum, dated March 29, 2016, is directed to Shahrukh Shahzada, P.E., Resident Engineer, and identifies Lorenzo Molina as the point of contact for the Construction Branch, DPW.

The deliverables required include: two CDs containing AutoCAD files saved in 2015 AutoCAD version format with both CAD and PDF drawings; one set of mylar hard copies with 3 mil minimum thickness; and all external reference files bound to respective drawings and provided electronically in a separate folder. All drawings must be stamped "Final As-built Drawings" with completion dates in the bottom right corner, incorporate all construction modifications electronically with no red-line corrections permitted, and contain accurate dimensions, coordinates, utility line depth information, piping and ducting sizes, and underground utility depths. Drawings must include all required disciplines (general, civil, architectural, landscaping, irrigation, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and others) and be coherently organized rather than divided into fast-track or non-fast-track packages. Civil drawings and maps must use viable coordinate systems, specifically Texas State Plane Central FIPS 4203 NAD 1983 or GCS 1984 UTM 13N if provided by Master Planning. All survey points, brass caps, and turning points must include pertinent information on the drawings. These requirements also apply to internal engineering projects and PRIDE initiatives.
