About this file

This document is an Attachment B-1 Rider to the Lease for a naval helicopter squadron (HMX-1) hangar space lease at West Palm Beach International Airport. The lease includes detailed provisions for a facility with specific requirements, including 24/7 government access, climate-controlled crew lounge, restroom facilities, parking spaces, and security accommodations. Key operational stipulations include the lessor's responsibilities for maintaining the premises, providing electrical service, utility services, and parking, while explicitly prohibiting the lessor from touching or moving the squadron's aircraft.

The lease outlines comprehensive access, maintenance, and operational guidelines, such as the lessor requiring advance permission and government escort to enter the leased hangar, maintaining fire and extended coverage insurance, and limiting personnel with key access to a maximum of three individuals. The initial lease term is one year with three potential one-year renewal options, and the government will have full operational flexibility, including the ability to perform aircraft maintenance, cleaning, and support services exclusively through its own employees or contracted third parties.
