About this file

This document is the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Notice and Certification from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) that is attached to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mechanical Systems Structural Analysis Support Services. The RFP is a Small Business Set-Aside with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 541330 Engineering Services, Exception 1: Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons.

The CAS Notice and Certification outlines the requirements for offerors to submit a Disclosure Statement and certify their eligibility for modified CAS coverage or exemption. It also states that award of the resulting subcontract may require a change in established cost accounting practices affecting existing subcontracts. The RFP is being issued before funding has been finalized, with a proposal due date of July 12, 2024 and a separate deadline of June 26, 2024 for submitting past performance information. The RFP indicates JPL is authorized to obtain proposal evaluations and rates from the appropriate contract administrative/audit activities.
