About this file

This is a typical road section attachment for Citrus County, Florida's ITB 26-139 Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Resurfacing Project for W. Mustang Blvd, extending from W. Mesa Verde Drive to County Road 491 (Lecanto Highway). The project involves roadway resurfacing and milling work on a two-lane road approximately 3,300 feet per lane. The scope of work includes milling 1.5 inches of existing asphalt and placing a 2-inch thick lift of FC-12.5 with PG 76-22 polymer binder at Traffic Level C, in accordance with FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, FY 2025-26. Additional work encompasses exposing and cleaning pavement edges, paving, temporary and permanent pavement markings, redressing, installing new reflective pavement markers (R.P.M.s), shoulder grading, sodding, and drainage improvements. The typical road section specifies an 80-foot right-of-way width with 11-foot lanes and includes tie-ins to existing grades and a drainage swale to ensure positive drainage away from the roadway surface.

The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, consumables, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the project. Asphalt must be identified on the current FDOT Asphalt Mix Design Plant Assignment Sheet and submitted with the bid. Pavement markings and signage must comply with current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) criteria. All work must be completed in accordance with the latest County Specifications and FDOT Standard Specifications. The project addresses deficiencies in roadway physical characteristics that fall below FDOT and County standards.
