About this file
Attachment A - Minimum Mandatory Requirements is a critical document for a Request for Proposal (RFP) #02212025MC issued by Utah healthcare facilities, specifically targeting linen services for University of Utah Hospital (UUH) and potentially other healthcare centers. The RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive linen management services, including safe handling of chemo-contaminated linens, daily linen delivery and pickup, weight tracking, and maintaining a 98% fill rate across ten delivery locations. The vendor must have a processing facility located in Utah, provide detailed manifests, emergency response capabilities, quarterly walk-through meetings, and meet specific requirements for linen handling, tracking, and reporting.
The proposal evaluates vendors on a pass/fail basis across 17 mandatory requirements, with any "no" response resulting in automatic disqualification. Key vendor expectations include providing detailed linen inventories, weight documentation, clean linen delivery in protected carts, daily delivery and pickup processes, and maintaining strict tracking of linen quantities and weights. The vendor must work closely with healthcare facilities to ensure minimal labor intervention during linen transitions, provide comprehensive reporting, and maintain high standards of service delivery. The RFP emphasizes precise operational protocols, including emergency response, lost and found procedures, and maintaining acceptable soiled-to-clean linen variance limits between 8-12%.
