About this file
Exhibit "A" is a detailed Reef Material Inventory document dated February 9, 2021, prepared for Citrus County, Florida's Artificial Reef Deployment project (ITB 25-104). The inventory lists various concrete and construction materials totaling 1,989 tons, including 475 railroad ties (153 tons), 12 culvert pipes (12 tons), 1 junction box (3 tons), 85 pilings (866 tons), 16 piling bases (146 tons), 65 bridge decking slabs (335 tons), 36 railings (368 tons), 3 wedge beams (17 tons), 8 "I" beams (25 tons), 25 square beams (36 tons), and 5 "L" beams (28 tons).
The materials are intended for deployment in Fish Haven #1, located approximately 25 miles west of Homosassa in the Gulf of America, as part of the Florida State Expenditure Plan (FSEP) 13-3 artificial reef program. The project aims to restore and revitalize the Gulf Economy by creating additional reef acreage for recreational activities. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has already permitted the site (permit #SAJ-1999-00814) through April 18, 2027, with the county seeking to deploy between 2,000 to 3,000 tons of processed concrete construction debris.
