7.4. Technical Exhibit 5 – Event Definitions
7.4.1. Small Event Training. The Contractor shall provide virtual-based small event training that is doctrinally current, and operationally relevant to the user. Gaming and Virtual Training are run using the Army’s Games for Training program, Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3) and any potential follow on for Games for Training and related products.
7.4.1.1. Training Provided:
Gaming or virtual based training that is doctrinally current, and operationally relevant to the user
Simulations used: VBS3, VBS Fires, CCTT, NMC3 (AVCATT), Reconfigurable Vehicle Combat Trainer-Ground (RVCT-G), Reconfigurable Vehicle Combat Trainer – Air (RVCT-A), LVC-IA that integrates Army Mission Command Information Systems
(MCIS)
7.4.1.2. Echelon Trained:
Crew Squad Section Platoon Company Any other echelon that uses VBS3 or any other Army-approved gaming solution for a training event (like a BDE level fire support certification training event)
7.4.2. Medium Event Training. The Contractor shall provide various mission command training events focused on commanders and their staffs. Broadly, this training encompasses the approach to command and control that empowers subordinate decision making and decentralized execution appropriate to the situation. Training principles:
Develop and replicate a realistic training environment MC staff training events using an Army approved MCIS Provide a Common Operating Picture for training or MSEL to achieve training objectives
7.4.2.1. Training Offerings:
Contractor Collective Trainer (MCTT) led event MC Fundamentals

Current OPS (TOC Training) STAFFEXs (Intel Week, Fires Week, Sustainment Week) Over the Shoulder support to a BDE or BN May be in a fixed facility (MTC) or in a unit’s command post; defined as coaching, teaching and mentoring unit staff members BSWS operators may come from MTC staff May or may not use simulations

7.4.2.3. Echelon Trained:
BN or BDE Staff BN, BDE, Division or Corps Staff Sections (Fires, Intel, Sustainment, etc)
7.4.3. Large Event Training. The Contractor shall support Large Multi-Echelon Exercises designed to train and stress the interactions between echelons. Large Exercises occur at the Brigade through Corps/JTF-levels and are driven with a high-resolution driver with a federation of simulations using JLCCTC, OneSAF or other simulation capabilities. Federates supported may include JDLM, JNEW, AARS, FIRESIM/EXCIS, AWSIM and others as needed.
7.4.3.1 Training Conditions
