About this file

This is a Scope of Work (SOW) document for a flooring replacement project at Building 1220 on Fort Carson, Colorado, issued by the Directorate of Public Works under contract number DPW24-065. The project involves removing and replacing carpet flooring and cove bases in various rooms on the second floor, specifically in rooms 201-259, fax/copier room, and hallways. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment for the job, install 24"x24" carpet tiles, 6" cove base, and floor transition strips, and prepare subfloors by leveling and cleaning prior to installation. The work also includes moving furniture, minimizing dust during demolition, and phasing the work to reduce disruptions.

The project is part of an Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) between the US Army and the City of Fountain, with the contract number W0VNAA-IGSA-A60RD-21-0003. The City of Fountain must provide a one-year warranty on all materials and workmanship, with any repairs during that period receiving an additional one-year warranty. The contractor must comply with federal, state, and local public health regulations, DOD and Army guidelines, and submit various documents including a work schedule, flooring and cove base samples, weekly progress reports, and a warranty letter. All subcontractors must be selected through a competitive bidding process, and the project requires strict adherence to installation security and access requirements, including background checks and restrictions on employee eligibility.
