About this file
This is a Technical Architecture Exhibit for a federal contracting solicitation (W91247-26-Q-1CD5) detailing system architecture and network topology for the Fort Bragg Primary and Secondary Crash Alarm Networks.
The solicitation requires de-installation of existing crash alarm systems and installation of new equipment and systems across three physically independent Army airfield deployments: Simmons Army Airfield (SAAF), Mackall Army Airfield (MAAF), and Pope Army Airfield (PAAF). Each airfield connects Air Traffic Control Towers, Base Operations, Fire Station Dispatch, Medical/Rescue, and outlying emergency endpoints over an isolated Layer 2 Virtual Local Area Network provided as a Government-Furnished Service by the Fort Bragg Network Enterprise Center. SAAF requires 11 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches, MAAF requires 8 PoE switches with primary/standby redundant servers, and PAAF requires 9 PoE switches. Core equipment at each location includes Extreme 5420F-24S-4XE fiber switches, Cisco 8841 IP phones with Push-to-Talk handsets, Cisco C9200CX PoE switches, touchscreen GUI consoles, and local 1.5kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply units. Contractor-supplied or government-furnished isolated cabinets must house all crash phone hardware; equipment must not be installed in government NEC voice/data racks. All copper interconnections must use black Cat6 patch cords. The contractor shall also dispose of existing equipment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Supplemental technical and operational requirements must comply with Army Regulation 95-2 as directed by Fort Bragg DPTMS Airfield Division and NAVAIDs Branch. Minimum notification requirements include primary crash initiation in the tower, crash rescue, MEDEVAC, 911/E911 fire station, and Air Traffic Control Chief notification.

DESCRIPTION
Solicitation Number: W91247-26-Q-1CD5
Document Type: Technical Architecture Exhibit
1. Functional System Overview The Fort Bragg Primary Crash Alarm Network (PCN) and Secondary Crash Alarm Network (SCN) consist of three (3) physically independent airfield deployments at Simmons Army Airfield (SAAF), Mackall Army Airfield (MAAF), and Pope Army Airfield (PAAF).
Each airfield deployment connects the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, Base Operations, Fire Station Dispatch, Medical/Rescue, and outlying emergency endpoints over an isolated Layer 2 Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) provided as a Government-Furnished Service (GFS) by the Fort Bragg Network Enterprise Center
(NEC).
The contractor shall de-install the currently existing system, equipment, and peripheral devices in all three towers, and dispose of them accordingly with all pertinent laws and regulations, and install the new equipment and system and provide maintenance and support according to the SOW.
