About this file

This document is a comprehensive technical specification (ATTACHMENT 2) for a small aircraft maintenance hangar renovation project at Moron Air Base, Spain, designated as Project QUUG 07-1022. The project involves a multi-phase renovation of Building 1422, with three Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) that progressively upgrade the hangar's infrastructure and functionality.

The project is divided into three main phases: CLIN 001 (Base Bid) focuses on creating office spaces, utility rooms, and main utility lines, including architectural, mechanical, and electrical work; CLIN 002 (Additive 01) involves installing a fire suppression system for the hangar; and CLIN 003 (Additive 02) encompasses a comprehensive hangar renovation including structural reinforcement, new insulated panel systems, updated doors, overhead crane installation, and comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and architectural improvements. The estimated performance periods range from 14 months for the base bid to 22 months for the complete project, with an estimated contract value between $1-5 million. The renovation will modernize the hangar's infrastructure, improve safety systems, and enhance operational capabilities for aircraft maintenance operations.
