About this file

This is a specifications document for a chiller plant upgrade and construction project at a Veterans Affairs medical facility in Northport. The project, designated as Project 632-25-101, involves general construction and alterations to an existing chiller plant, including removal of existing building components and systems, and installation of new equipment and systems. The work will be executed in two phases, with Phase 1 requiring complete operational status and full functionality supporting the medical facility before Phase 2 work authorization is issued.

A critical requirement of this project is the installation and maintenance of a temporary chiller plant to support ongoing medical facility operations throughout the construction period. The temporary chiller system must remain operational and in service until the new permanent chiller plant is fully installed, started up, and formally accepted. This phased approach with temporary system support ensures no interruption to essential medical facility operations during the upgrade. The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin is the procuring agency for this solicitation (36C77626B0024).
