Modifications to the Request for Proposal B 26075

1. The baler should be an auto tie baler. This would need to be an addition to D.2.1.4.

1. The wording for D.2.1.5 should be modified to read “The shredder should have the ability to process metal clips, staples, and all normal office metal”……A question was raised as to the “process and remove metal” portion of the question in that no shredder will process large metal objects. At one facility a pipe wrench somehow made it into a shredder on accident and both vendors made it very clear no shredder would process that large amount of metal.

1. In D.2.1.8 this verbiage added “The sorting station should have up to 3 workstations and a tipper for 2 recycle bins or 1 gaylord. This tipper would be in addition to the tipper for the shred system.”

1. The shred system will have 2 tippers. For safety reasons the tippers should both have a safety feature to ensure gaylords and shred bins do not fall in injure staffing operating the equipment.

1. In reference to warranty D.2.6 “The warranty should be standard manufacturer warranty and 2 years of maintenance which would include parts and warranty as well as preventive maintenance.”
