The contractor is responsible for disassembly and removal of all existing shelving units, legal disposal of removed materials off-site, installation of three new pallet rack shelving systems, and comprehensive site cleanup. All work must be completed within 30 calendar days from the project start date and performed in strict accordance with manufacturer installation instructions, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) Standard 91-501, OSHA 29 CFR 1910, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13 standards. The contractor must designate a contract manager fluent in English with full authority to manage daily operations, and all contractor personnel must comply with facility security regulations, base traffic regulations, and reporting requirements for potential security threats.
The SOW specifies three distinct shelving systems: System A for BLDG 216 main warehouse requires 12 starter units and 33 add-on units with 7,000 lbs per shelf capacity and dimensions of 120" x 48" x 144"; System B for the TMO wall area in BLDG 216 requires 1 starter unit and 3 add-on units with 5,000 lbs per shelf capacity along a designated 36-foot wall at dimensions of 108" x 24" x 102"; System C for the Air Transportation Function in BLDG 1518 requires 2 starter units and 1 add-on unit with 7,000 lbs per shelf capacity at dimensions of 96" x 48" x 144". All systems include heavy-duty wire mesh decking and necessary installation hardware with concrete anchor bolts. Final acceptance is contingent upon government inspection and approval verifying all shelving is installed safely, securely, and per SOW requirements.
