About this file
This document is a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing the intercommunication systems at 20 consular windows in the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. The project requires a contractor to remove existing audio equipment and install a new two-way communication system with speakers, microphones, digital signal processors, control units, and networked audio components. The system must enable clear communication between consular employees and applicants through a thick glass partition, with specific technical requirements including audio performance characteristics, intelligibility standards, and integration with existing queue management systems.
Key technical specifications include installing ceiling or wall-mounted speakers, 18" gooseneck microphones, headsets, volume control panels, and a centralized audio processing system. The contractor must provide comprehensive documentation, perform installation in staged phases to minimize operational disruption, conduct system testing, and provide training for up to 45 consular personnel and 15 technical staff. The project has a 260-working-day completion timeline, requires specialized equipment from manufacturers like Biamp, Shure, and QSC, and mandates compliance with specific audiovisual industry standards. Contractors must have certified technology specialists with minimum 5-years industry experience and be authorized resellers of the proposed equipment.

The contractor selected shall provide and install two-way intercommunication system (microphone, speaker, and control unit) at the specified consular windows. The work shall include removing existing intercommunication equipment, installation of the new equipment, testing the new equipment, and training staff how to operate and maintain the equipment. As the work is to be performed in stages minimizing disruption to operations, the installation of new intercommunication system must not degrade or impact the performance of the remaining intercom systems. A site visit will be offered during the bid submission period.
II- OBJECTIVES
The awarded contractor shall perform all work necessary to accomplish the preparation, execution, and completion processes for the removal of audio system currently installed, including cables, etc. and the design, delivery, and installation of a complete and functioning audio system for the Embassy Paris.
