About this file

This memorandum provides Operations Security (OPSEC) training for contract employees of the 177th Fighter Wing at the New Jersey Air National Guard. It defines OPSEC as a process to identify, analyze, and control critical information to reduce vulnerabilities from adversary exploitation. The memorandum outlines who the enemy can be, how adversaries collect threat information through open source intelligence, and defines critical information and the threat. It provides examples of open sources and instructs employees to shred materials when no longer needed, identify suspicious individuals, and avoid posting military information online. Contact is Dawn Walker at the provided phone number and email for any questions.

The related solicitation seeks sealed bids for repair and replacement of airfield apron and perimeter lighting at the 177th Fighter Wing in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The antiquated lighting system requires upgrades to provide a safe work environment. The contractor shall prepare the site, demolish existing structures, and furnish labor and materials to complete the work according to the provided drawings and specifications. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000, and bonds are required for all proposals over $150,000. A pre-bid conference will be held with access details in the solicitation. Bidders must review all documents and amendments on SAM.gov and interpret requirements to give meaning to all parts, bringing discrepancies to the contracting officer.
