About this file
This is a procedural document outlining the appointment process for the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms. The document details a three-step process for visitors to gain base access, requiring them to first connect with an authorized base sponsor who holds a government-issued Common Access Card (CAC), complete pre-enrollment online through the DBIDS system, and schedule an appointment by calling the Visitor Center at 760-830-6734 (operating hours 0500-2030).
The document emphasizes that this appointment-based system is designed to reduce wait times and improve efficiency for base access processing. Appointments for the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) at MCAGCC
BLUF: Appointments reduce the wait. The Visitor Center has established an appointment process to address access wait times.
Scheduling appointments for base access is a strategic measure that reduces the waiting time at the Visitor Center. For visitors, this involves finding an authorized base sponsor, pre-enrolling online, and calling the dedicated Visitor Center line to schedule an appointment. For sponsors, tasks include filling the DBIDS request form, listing visitor names in the email subject line, and sending the form from their government email account. These steps, if correctly followed, streamline the process, and eliminate delays, enhancing efficiency and productivity in gaining base access. Adopting this appointment process provides a time-efficient and systematic approach to managing base access.
Please familiarize yourself with this process. Currently implemented, it will persist as the standard procedure through which the Visitor Center processes base access
Visitor Steps:
1. Find an Authorized Base Sponsor: Connect with a representative within the organization who holds a government issued Common Access Card (CAC) assigned to MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms.
2. Pre-enrollment: Complete the pre-enrollment process online at DBIDS PRE-ENROLLMENT.
3. Make an Appointment: Call the Visitor Center at 760-830-6734 (available from 0500-2030) to schedule your appointment. This line is dedicated to DBIDS-related matters. This can now be done at any time.
